Cracking episode this week. What is the significance of the numbers -

Come on - surely I can't be the only one here coming up with theories...

Maybe the numbers are being transmitted from hell ?

Although not sure if you're allowed a radio transmitter in hell? Probably not and anyway the heat would likely damage the circuitry.

I think they all have link to the numbers that will become apartent in this and the next series.

I don't know why or how, and I don't want to find out as I'm enjoying each episode as it comes.

Although I like to idea that 42 was the 'bonus ball', the writers have obviously read hitch hicker's guide.

My boss also thinks that 42 is the answer to everything as most of our pension schemes have an average age of 42. Does it crop up elsewhere or do we notice it because we are looking?

I ramble, therefore I must go.

The numbers, who knows! But how good was Wednesday's episode! The light! Is Boone Dead (me thinks he is)? How come Locke was losing his ability to walk?

and most importantly...

Where did Locke get that god-awful wig from?

It was ace - but then why was that plane "what the island was telling me to do" - was it the radio that caused the light to come on?

Don't think Boon is dead - but was really traumatised by his dad's actions - I mean who would do that? I mean who? Surely it can't hurt to be a bit friendly after you've taken someone's kidney?!?!

Jon, you've got confused. Boone is the young guy who fell out of the plane, Locke is the older guy who got rid of his kidney.

Good call on the radio - hatch link though. Guess we'll (probably not) find out on Wednesday.

Ooops! And did they answer the hatch on wednesday...they so did not!

Dragging this one out methinks...

Did Locke get in or not - and what's with his legs working/not working stuff? Bizarre!

The end?

Was that a cracking end to series 1 or what?

The natural questions are - what are the numbers on about on the hatch?

Who are the others and what do they want with the kids?

And did Ethan take Claire's baby to give to the frenchwoman - or did the frenchwoman steal it off of Ethan (to give to the others to try and get back Alex)?

Come on folks let's get some conspiracy theories going here!

I have seen a few episodes from series 2 ...and I must say it gets even better!!!!!!!!!!

Those numbers are evil and form some sort of code to operate a doomsday device (in the tunnels down the hatch) that would destroy the World.

The Others were the people left to guard the Doomsday device but over time have gone a bit mental. They have access to medical facilities that allow them to live for hundreds of years but only if they stay within close vicinity of the Island without ever leaving it. However, for these medical facilities to extend their life they need blood from children to make their medicine work.

Ethan did not take Claire's baby as the baby was unborn at that time. However, the reason Claire escaped was because the French woman tried to kidnap her for her own purposes. In the ensuing melee, Claire escaped.

I haven't seen any of season 2 - this is purely my imagination!

Wow! Good imagination! Any ideas on why the old ship hadn't rotted away then?
