This is the sort of thing that really should have been found in testing the exam and there really is no excuse for it. Once it's done, the examiners can only do their best to account for it, but you can imagine that it could alter the pass list quite a bit.
I spent very little time on the question realising it wouldn't work through as succinctly as it had done the previous year and concentrated on other questions. I found CT8 a bit like I had found CT5 previously in that there's too much to do in the time available, therefore concentrating on doing what you can as quickly as you can and leaving out what you can't (and probably others are struggling with too) reaped the required rewards.
