I have been working in the software industry for the past 15 years. And I have recently taken up studying for IAI. I have also cleared 3 papers in Core Technical.

I want to know what sort of career is possible on gaining Fellowship:
    a. If I try to use the knowledge while remaining in the IT line itself?

    b. Is it possible to make a fresh start in the actuarial field, and still draw a salary which is at par with IT salaries?

    c. What kind of and how much experience is needed in order to start one's own actuarial consultancy?

    Thanks
    Regards

When you become Fellow you can work as actuary in
    Life insurance
    Health insurance
    General insurance
    Pensions
    Investment
Sometimes in Law assisting in cases as financial expert
    Government Actuarial Department
This depends upon which exams you choose to specialise with the STs and SA exams.
