    Hello,

I am trying to do question X4.2 on the X4 assignment, and I am stuck on part i).

Looking at the solutions, it says 'the probability of an individual standardised deviation falling outside the range -3 to +3 should be approximately 2 x 0.00135'

I can't work out where the value 0.00135 has come from?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Amy

    Hi Amy,

    Page 161 of Tables, Phi(3) = 0.99865
    1 - 0.99865 = 0.00135
