I took both ST7 and ST8 in april and I expected to fail ST7. However, ST8 went surprisingly well for me; I answered every question I can remember, and I came out feeling really good about it. Last week's results were very dissapointing; failed both papers, and both have the same grade! ST8 was not even borderline fail, so no point appealling. What happened?? Can we still believe in ourselves after this?
Welcome to the ST actuarial exams! I don't think I ever predicted correctly whether I had passed these each time. At the end of the day, about 40% get through each time, so the majority will take more than one attempt at each, despite having degrees etc. Take it on the chin, go on a tutorial, maybe get some exam councelling. Try harder next time! Best of luck Pede
