Wordy or nerdy?

Is CT2 too wordy for "techy" or "nerdy" mathematicians? (Apologies to all you "well-rounded" mathematicians!)

If you've spent the last three years doing maths, this course must come as a bit of a shock. How do you cope with all those words?

(Take heart - this course is good preparation for the later subjects.)

I've been in exactly this situation. Having studied Mathematics for the last three years words terrify me! Although being able to articulate ideas is quite clearly a key atribute to have so I am not surprised that the course has taken that structure.

I have heard that an inability to write a well-structured answer is tolerated to a certain degree, with bullet points accepted.
To what degree is this true (If at all)?

    Thank you,

    Wordy???

Hehe... being a non mathematician and starting out studying for CT1, I find the problem to be exactly the opposite...

Relax - being wordy just means explaining things enough for the other person to understand.

The real problem in wordy exams is when you don't understand the materials well enough. After all, the best test to see whether you understand the material is to try to teach someone else what you have read.

    Remember

    - If you can EXPLAIN it, you can WRITE it...

BTW - I am an accountant by profession - so I am willing to help out if I am able to...
