Hi guys,

I am working on improving my Ms Excel skills and have mostly been using online tutorials. I have decided to buy a book to complement my online learning. Most books out there are tied to particular versions of Ms Excel so I would like some help deciding which version to go for. As for the author, John Walkenbach seems to be pretty popular so I am planning to get a book from his Excel Bible series.

Should I go for Excel 2003, 2007, 2010 or 2013?

Which version of Ms Excel is most popular in the workplace?

If you think the version doesn't matter, if you think there's a better author, e.t.c, please weigh in with your opinion.

I would really appreciate your help guys.

I would go with the latest version.
I think 2007 was when they changed to the ribbon tool bar, so would rule out 2003 (though I'm sure some employers still use it).
I'm using 2010.
