When are the papers set? Hi Barney I think it would be very difficult to predict when the examiners write the questions. Although I'm not privy to the deadlines the examiners are set for writing question papers ... ... a fair amount of time would be needed to ensure that the papers are thoroughly reviewed and guinea-pigged etc. Also, if you were an examiner would you: - write them to meet that deadline, or - have some questions ready some period in advance of the deadline to give yourself some breathing space? Hard to know! So I wouldn't try to second-guess what will be on the exam on the basis of when the examiners may (or may not!) have written the paper. Far better to: - know the Core Reading really well - be comfortable with topical issues arising in recent years (for example by reading the more recent items on the recommended reading list and / or looking at the last couple of topical issues documents - which can be found as a "sticky" in this forum).
