Using normal distribution tables

The yellow tables only give values of chi for x correct to two decimal places.

In some of the solutions, it looks like the values have been calculated for x to three decimal places, using interpolation to get the value.

Do we need to do this during the exam?

depends on how it will impact the result.

Generally I'd use as tabulated - any further calc runs a risk of a slip which could have a bigger impact on your mark than not trying to interpolate.
