Using Excel

    Sorry if this has already been asked. What’s the view on using excel to help in a question like Nelson Aalen for example - can we still not copy and paste the table back into word? Would the table be sufficient as it it shows the different columns, would you be disqualified if you used a table that was pre made beforehand?

    Yes, I would also like to know whether you can just copy and paste a KM table you create in excel (during the exam) into word? Seems pointless to have to retype it all out in word and potentially make mistakes in doing so? You would never do this in real life, why in these exams if so?

    It's ok to use Excel to do the calcs and copy the values over to Word. Do make sure that you explain your working clearly though. Do not use any pre-prepared templates.

    NB - questions like these should really be emailed to the IFoA!
