Uniform Distribution of Deaths and Balducci assumption calculations

Hi,

I was wondering if calculations involving UDD and the Balducci assumption are still in the syllabus?

There is a question on them in the September 2010 paper (Q5) however, in my copy of the notes from 2016, the UDD is not mentioned at all in the core reading (it is however mentioned in the Acted non-core reading explanations). The Balducci assumption is referenced in passing in the core reading, however its formula is not given or described, and the only use given for the Balducci assumption is that it is required for the general binomial model.

Neither the UDD and the Balducci assumption are mentioned anywhere in the syllabus objectives either.

My conclusion is that these are not in the syllabus anymore and so cannot be examined in the exam next week!

Please let me know if I am incorrect!
