As per question... Pension started early, basis ill health retirement. Then in transition diagram there should be transition from state ill to state pensioner along with ill to dead. Why it is not there?
If someone retires due to ill-health, their pension is calculated and they start to receive their annuity. If they later recover from their ill-health, best of luck to them, but their annuity doesn't change. So, we are not interested in this arrow, Good luck! John
