What exactly is meant by triangular distribution?
Some of the questions which has this term say that if we add two independent uniform distribution we get a triangular distribution.

I would like to know that .. are there some particular properties which make a distribution triangular distribution. Explanation with an example will be preferable. Thanks in advance!

A triangular distribution is one which looks like a triangle surprisingly!

When you add two independent Uniform distributions, the resultant distribution is triangular.

Try yourself for two U(0,1) using convolution. The PDF should come out to be.
