Transition probability vs Intensity

    Can you please explain the difference between transition probability and transition intensity?

    Hi Rajat,

    So the first thing I would say is that this isn't a huge issue for SP1 - it's probably more of a question for one of the earlier subjects. But in a nutshell, I think that a probability applies over a period of time (like the probability of falling sick between time 0 and 1) whereas an intensity is a force at a particular instant.
