Hello everyone Just 3 days to go for CT5 exam from IAI. As the exam is usually lengthy and a lot of calculation mistakes can occur. Any tips to complete the paper within time limit and minimise the silly mistakes ? If anyone could give some suggestions, it would be a great help! Thank you.
Do every question at its merit. Try to complete 40 marks of correct paper in first 1 hour. Keep target of attempting 85 to 90 marks of paper not 100 % initially. Take extremely care if ultimate mortality has been asked or select mortality. All the best
Remember no one is likely to score 100%. Make sure someone can follow your calculations because then if you make a mistake, but the marker can follow your calculation, you will still get the majority of the marks. As said above, read the question carefully so you do for example select mortality when needed, and use the correct frequency say of premiums, timing of claim payment etc. Do reasonableness checks.
