Can anyone explain to me what the index clause is, what it tries to achieve, and in what context it is used? Thank you very much!
 
The index clause in the reinsurance treaty? Its intent is to adjust the attachment ponit and the limit based on the inflation in the excess-of-loss treaty. It is commonly used in the liability reinsurance.
