    Hi all,

I am writing CT1 (UK pattern). Do we need to carry a copy of tables to the exam or will they provide us..?

I dont think we are allowed to carry our own copies, the Tables would be provided in the exam:)

I didn't realise I'd need a copy of the tables and there's no way for me to get them before the exam. I see they're not relied upon to heavily for CT1 so would it be ok to download the old version? Would the old version of the tables have the relevant information? I also still have my copy of the Z<z tables from A-level if that helps me cause too.

Yup - there's hardly any formulae in there that you need for CT1. And the old Tables have the compound interest tables and the normal distribution and they are presented in similar ways. You should be fine.

The only caveat is that the old tables have most of the formulae for term-certain annuities, whereas the current ones don't - so don't rely on them being in there!
