Using the chi-square tables on page 165 of the Tables gives P(X<8)=0.8438.

I had downloaded the Formulae and Table from IFoA but I think it is not the Tables you used.
Although I find chi-square table in the Formulae and Table, I cannot get the answer.

Which Tables I should use?
Which Tables I will have in the exam?

if you dont have the 2002 version you really should buy them, they are very much needed for all the mathsy/statsy exams

or type this into excel, cos.. well we can use excel now!!!
