Studying from old CMP notes (2009)

I have CT1 CMP notes from 2009. I would like to ask you guys if I can use these notes to study for the exam for September 2017. The cost of the notes in my currency (S.A Rand) is a lot of money and I cant really afford it at the moment (I am not being sponsored). I see that the syllabus is the same as back in 2009. I was planning on using the 2009 CMP notes to get the basic theory then start on pasted exam papers.

Can I pass CT1 using old CMP notes, considering that the syllabus is the same?

By dong so you are breaking the copyright by using someone else's notes and therefore can be subject to disciplinary action by the Profession which includes being thrown out of the Profession.

So yes you could - but at the cost of your career.
