stem and leaf diagem chap 1 (1.4)

Dear Team ,

please note I have tried to solve myself the example of water leakage example of stem and leaf . I did not got how 0|7 comes , in the text it is written that the left unit is 100 and the right 10 tens

I sorted the number in Ascending order but unable to find the clue how

please elucidate

 

From data min is 74… nearest to 10 then 70.
So 070 =0x100+7x10

so the second member in the stem leaf
100*1+10*1= 1|1

3rd member

100*1+10*1= 1|11

4th member

100*1+2*10=1|112

but in the book it is three
0|7
1|113

please explain

You rounded 127 to 120....
But 130 is nearer to 127 than 120 is.
You should have rounded 127 up to 130.
Then 100*1+10*3..
PS: whenever decimal value is less than 5 do round off, & for decimal value 5 or more do round up to 10.

Both are correct....
In notes class interval 50
You drew with class interval 100
