Dear All, Just noticed that the first 10 chapters in ST8 are covered in ST7. Are there any material differences between the two? Regards, Francis
There is a lot of overlap between the two. ST7 has an extra chapter of Lloyd's which is still useful background knowledge for ST8. The main differences are in the risk and uncertainty and data chapters, where ST8 has a pricing focus and ST7 a reserving / capital modelling one.
Hi Darren, Thank you for the response. I will then begin to study the subject from Chapter 9...(Having taken the ST7 Subject in the last sitting)
