Hi

With respect to the algebraic derivation of this question, could you please help me with an alternative step by step explanation solution? The solution in examiner's report is a bit unclear to me.
 
This is indeed a tricky question part. We provide an alternative approach to the solution in our most recent ASET product (which covers that paper), including explanations of the steps needed.

Apologies but I do not have the ASET solution with me, could you please provide me with the solution for part i) given the close proximity of the exams ?
