You asked this question to me via email as well. A copy of the reply is: No. I’ve rechecked the question and solution and they are both correct. Perhaps you have used the wrong negative binomial? This question uses a type 2 negative binomial. Please can you choose just one route to ask your question. Otherwise you could involve several tutors answering the same query which is a waste of our resources and delays our help to other students.
