Please clarify the below mention formulae : P(T1/S)=P(T1 INTERSECTION S] / P----------------- FORMULAE 1 P(T1 INTERSECTION S)= P(T1) P(S/T1)----------------- FORMULAE 2 FROM FORMULA ---1 I CAN GET AS P(T1 INTERSECTION S] =P * P(T1/S)-- FORMULA 3 NOW FORMULAE 2 AND FORMULAE 3 ARE DIFFERENT PLEASE CLARIFY THANKS IN ADVANCE \ REGARDS Suresh SHARMA
This is the multiplication rule. All you've done is changed round which event happens first. Then the second event depends on that first event.
dear sir , what I understood that p(T intersection s) depends upon which events occur first , if suppose s event happen first then formulae would =p(s) * p(t/s) if T occur first then formulae would be p(T) *P(S/T). Is it correct ??? regards suresh sharma 9051838188
