Without wishing to sound arrogant I must admit that I thought that the recent ST5 exam was very very easy and I'll be gobsmacked if I fail it

    Does anyone else agree?

Come on guys, at this level the exams are tough whatever you say. If you've put in the hours and studied well and feel that you aced it, well good on you but it's taking the mick to say the exam was easy. The course is a fairly large one and I would suggest that you can get lucky if "your" subjects come up compared to areas that you perhaps arent so good at.

It always amuses me when people preface comments with "I'm not being arrogant but..." or some such. You always know what's coming next. For what its worth I gave the exam a good pop and felt it was a fair paper. I think to predict yourself a pass is a mite foolhardy and I'm sure you must know someone who's been burned like that previously even if you haven't.

I'd like you both to promise to post your exam result on December 2 if you're so sure...

The thing is Ol, I always like to call it as I see it. I've failed exams in the past but this time I reckon I've done the business and I'm not afraid to say it. The people I can't abide are the "I'm gonna fail" merchants who end up breezing through every exam they sit.

Let just hope I don't end up with egg on my face come results day eh?

    Exam pass service

I charge the following rates for sitting exams under a false name. Rates are on a "no pass no fee" basis. Unfortunately I am unable to extend this service to the communication paper as it stumps me every time.

    CT Series: £2,500
    ST Series: £4,000

Please note the rates include the cost of a fake passport and a substantial risk premium owing to the high penalties of being caught.

Note that I can only offer this service to males although perhaps Munki could offer a similar service for females?

    spot on fees eggman
as u cud go to city, kent, herriot watt for 10000 to to do the CT subjects
wheras you charge (8*2000) = 16000 for teh 8 CTS

in fact only risk is ur risk premium may appear too low and u could be selected against!! lol

My service will cost more I'm afraid as I'll have to shave off all my hair and cut my tail off

I reckon eggman might be trying to stir things up a little... trying to make yourself some pancake mix eggman? Or a big exam cake?

I wouldn't go as far as calling it very, very easy - I certainly hope you didn't feel that in the exam as you can get a bit too cocky for your own good when writing your answers

still, it was pretty doable, and personally I would have preferred a more challenging paper rather than one that could put it out of your control as to whether you pass or not as others will have found it doable

I've seen egg hit the fan several times, I'm sure it has hit Eggman a few times too!

Personally, I think it horses for courses. Heavy bias towards application type questions rather than bookwork type questions has been a recurring theme in the later exams of late and I think it has caught many people out, especially those list fiends that tend to ruin most block tutorials.

ST5 is one of the more interesting papers and hence most people do a little extra reading and have a little more background knowledge purely by accident. Hence when an application type paper comes up, like in September, people naturally think they have done well.

The trouble is, there are always a few nasty questions where it is hard to see what the examiner is really getting at - the pass rate will be no different to normal.

If there's no egg on your face Eggman, you could make a bit of money from your exam venture! Acted may have some competition!

    The real question!

Come on then Eggman - now the results are out - give us all the truth...did you pass the easy exam?

I did (by the grace of God) - but the pass rate was not good - and looking at the solutions I'm not overly surprised!
