Hi Could one of the ActEd tutors please let me know if they expect / know of any material changes that are in the pipeline for the syllabus between the September 2014 and April 2015 exam sessions. I plan on buying the materials now to study for the April exam next year. Thanks a lot Alastair
You can find information on the syllabus changes at http://www.actuaries.org.uk/students/pages/changes-syllabus-and-core-reading-2015-exams Note, in partciular, that the new second edition of the Lam textbook is required reading for the 2015 ST9 examinations. This edition contains a significant amount of new reading material. ActEd's materials for the 2015 examinations will become available in September. Due to the extent of the changes and the mandatory use of the new textbook it is not practical for ActEd to include updated or replacement pages in an upgrade document. We recommend that students who already have the 2014 ST9 study materials : · purchase the second edition of the Lam textbook · purchase a new set of Course Notes (or a new Combined Materials Pack) at the special retaker price.
