Hi In the solution in part (iii) the calculation for Cohort A shows (6000 + 1000/9) , are we not duplicating the 1000? Please explain this part (6000+1000/9)*0.81439*0.02)/(1-0.81439*0.02), why are we multiplying by the mortality rate and then dividing by (1-0.81439*0.02)?
