Good morning, I have been through this paper and have one question. In a previous paper and model solution the use of GOALSEEK was referenced in the summary (Paper 2 Sept 2020). I therefore included this in the description of how the model was created. However, in the model solution the answer was just back solved. Would the use of GOALSEEK be appropriate here, or considered overly complex? Also I just wanted to check that we would definitely include the description of GOALSEEK in the summary. Thank you
This is a tricky one, in the Sept 2020 paper the mark scheme included two specific points about the Goal Seek explanation. So, I think mentioning it in another paper is reasonable given this! However, in the Sept 2021 paper this wasn't necessary. I should be kept brief though, if you decide to mention it specifically. I would like to think that saying 'back solving' would be just as acceptable and score the marks in the Sept 2020 paper too.
