Hi, I am working in Life insurance for the past 4 years and specialised in SP2. I am considering SA7 as my fellowship exam but I haven't studied SP5. How challenging is that to appear for SA7 without any knowledge of SP5? I will be appearing for it in November 2023 from IAI. How do I maximize my chances of clearing it in one go?
SP5 is quite integrated into SA7, and many SA7 questions look like glorified SP5 questions. So it is recommended that you have either studied and passed it, or that you are studying SP5 at the same time as SA7. Without it I would imagine you may be at a bit of a disadvantage to other students. But that is not to say that you couldnt pass SA7 without ever having studied SP5 - the choice is ultimately down to you.
