Just looking for thoughts on opinions for sitting SP5 and SA5 together for April 2019 sitting.

I have already passed ST4, and am looking for another ST, and ST5 interests me, I've heard before people sitting and passing ST4 and SA4, so just trying to see/understand if SA5 and SP5 (formally ST5) are similar that way?

Yes - as mentioned above, SA5 is no more! the replacement SA7, is more like SA6 than SA5, but is still a good subject for those interested in a career in investments. SP5 is very similar to ST5, so if your friends said they enjoyed ST5, they would probably enjoy SP5. Sitting both in a single sitting is demanding, but possible. SP5 requires a fair bit of bookwork memorisation, which can take time. But SP5 is an essential prerequisite for SA7, so it fit well if you can handle the effort and time required.

Would SA6 not have been similar to ST6 though?
The new curriculum page on the institute website, says that SA7 builds on SP5 and other earlier subjects, no mention of SP6 at all?
