I am sitting SA4 and ST4 in the same session. Does anyone have any tips?

Particularly, I notice there is a fair degree of overlap in the topics covered (as you might expect!) My plan had been to read all of ST4 before moving on to SA4, but I now wonder whether reading the modules concurrently might be better.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Mike

We (ActEd) generally recommend that students read the whole of ST4 before tackling SA4. This is because SA4 builds on the principles developed in ST4.

You could read the chapters concurrently, but bear in mind that some of the ideas presented in, say, the middle of the ST4 course eg funding methods, may be relevant background to material in the early SA4 chapters.

One alternative approach would be to work through the ST4 course, reading the SA4 summaries (found at the end of each chapter) concurrently - then you would get an overview of the SA4 course at the same time as covering ST4.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks Gresham

I have followed the approach you suggested. Now it's time for revision and the exams!
