    Hi

I will be taking SA3 for the second time in April and noticed that the ST7 syllabus has changed significantly. Is there any new material that could potentially be tested in the SA3 exam? Is it necessary to order new ST7 materials?

    Thanks

Yes, a lot has changed in ST7 (see the CMP Upgrade for an outline of changes) - but all the changes are relatively minor rather than fundamental big changes.

All of ST7 (and ST8) is presumed knowledge for SA3, so in theory you should use the bang-up-to-date version.

But it depends how old your ST7 notes are - if they're only a year out-of-date, I think the risk is relatively small and you may decide it is not worth updating them.

If you're unsure though, a cheap way of staying up to date would be to buy an e-CMP at the reduced rate, or even the ST7 Revision Notes which have the up-to-date Core Reading.
