Hi all, What did you think of the exam? The APH question was quite long and tricky as I had never heard of the APH class before. I got stuck on Q3 Part (i) i.e. determine the basic chain ladder ULR. This had a knock-on effect for the rest of the question. I'll just have to wait and see.
Hi, I thought question 1 was the low point. I always feel with accounting questions that you get either all the marks or none. Now, it'd be great if I got all 11 marks for it, but I doubt it. For a start in the past I've always gotten the UPR and DAC wrong, and I really didn't know what to do with all the asset information (given that we didn't have to produce a balance sheet), was it all extra info that we had to sensibly discard, or were we supposed to use the increase in asset values over the year?
