    Hi there,
I was wondering if it is feasible to sit for sa2 without st2 (lets say st5 and 6) if you are working in a life insurer.
    Thanks

The difficulty is you would have work knowledge which might not totally mirror syllabus needs. If that's what you want to do I wouldn't try without reading st2 material alongside sa2.

Not a good idea. All of ST2 core reading is assumed knowledge for SA2.

I sat ST2 in 2009 and do not work in Life Insurance and I am about to attempt SA2 for the first time. Because my memory of ST2 is patchy at best, I am expecting that SA2 will require a lot more work. From conversations with various qualified actuaries who attempted SA2, ST2 is essentially a forerunner of SA2.
