Apologies for this very basic question Chapter 3 Summary says LTCI can be provided as a rider benefit added to another policy eg CI policy Just wanted to check my understanding is correct. Is this basically saying that a policyholder can buy a CI policy but choose to add LCTI cover as an option ? Rather like buying Porsche 911 but choosing the Porsche Sports Exhaust option to meet the customers needs ? Thanks very much
Yes, that's exactly it. For an extra premium we can add LTCI to a CI policy. Often CI policies pay out on total permanent disability, so a LTCI benefit would fit in quite nicely there. Best wishes Mark
