How would the existence of a profit sharing arrangement in the reinsurance treaty influence the retention limit?
Good question . Profit sharing reduces transfer of risk so probably lowers the retention. Also profit sharing doesn't make much sense for rare events - so want a low retention with a regular flow of claims. But others please correct me if you disagree.
