Hi there

what format is a report meant to take ? is it the same as a memo,
ie

to
From
Subject
Date

or is it like a formal letter ? I can't seem to get a nailed-down example of a report from the notes.

Many thanks and kind regards !

The one you suggest is perfect for a memo.

I think you should have a to from and date.

But then it is more appropriate to have a formal title (Report on.....).

There are other ways but I don't personally like them.

Eg TITLE
INTRO which sets off along the lines of This report is prepared for XYZ....'
then at the end put your name, capacity and date.
To me the opening reference for whom it is prepared costs a couple of extra words cf From To type of format.

Any other views out there?
