    Hi,

The April 2009 CA1 Sylabus was slightly changed as well as the course name, indicating it is more risk oriented.

Anyway, I understand that the relevant CTs + CA1 + the new ST9 will be counted as an ERM studies and will be accompanied with some sort of Diploma (I guess).

Does the CA1 prior to April 2009 counts for the requirements of the ERM Diploma? (Hope it does)

    Thanks
    Zvika

    According to the Profession:

ERM Associateship: gained via the usual approach but replacing CT5 (Life Contingencies) with ST9. The aim is for this level of qualification to gain the Global ERM accreditation.

Fellowship: gained via the usual approach, including ST9 as one of the two necessary ST subjects. Covering risk management techniques from a generic perspective, ST9 will be complementary to any of the other ST subjects and therefore may be a useful "second" ST for anyone choosing a different area of overall specialism. Alternatively an actuary may wish to qualify as an ERM specialist, by studying ST9 together with ST6 (or perhaps ST5) and SA5, these also having a generic risk management focus.

For those who have already qualified, ST9 will of course be available for study by any members of the UK profession - just like another of the other examinations.

Unfortunately the answer is still a "maybe" at the moment.
