What does that mean by IBNR reserve at UW Year level compare to that of IBNR reserve loading at Company level? I assume that: IBNR can be at product line level or Company level. Eg: IBNR for Public Liability product, IBNR for Motor, IBNR for whole company level. IBNR triangle must divide into Uw Year/ Dev Year pair, no matter what Product line level or Company level. Does that mean on the PnL and Balance sheet, the company should disclose IBNR and IBNR movement like: UwY 2020: IBNR = 100 UwY 2021: IBNR = 120 ... etc?
IBNR can be at any level you require depending on the purpose. Triangles will have things split by cohort of course too. What you show in accounts depends on the rules for constructing those accounts, but for most accounting questions in the exam, a total figure is usually what you show.
