Solution to question 41.1 chapter 41: what is the difference between "number and type of previous accidents/claims" and "existence of driving convictions"?

Driving convictions = when you have been found guilty of breaking the law in relation to a driving offence, such as driving too fast.

Obviously a driving conviction could have arisen as a result of having had an accident (e.g. had a crash and were found to have been over the legal alcohol consumption limit, or were found to have been driving dangerously), but the two do not have to happen together. Many types of conviction occur without any property damage or liability to others, and the majority of claims are genuine accidents without anyone having broken the law.

    Understood, thank you.

Could you give an example of this? -

I can. Got done for speeding the other week. 3 points on my license. Didn't damage anything or anybody though (only my pride;)).
