part iii a) In the solution for P_WM, it shows the possible transitions of WA-AM, and WM-MM. My concern is why is WM there when from the generator matrix, a WM transition is not possible unless it goes thru A? Also, there is WW-WM, but I guess this = 0 since mu_WM = 0. part iii c) Instead of using P_WA as given, I thought I could get away with assuming P_WA = 1 - P_WW; why is this wrong?

Hi Robert In my 2008 notes, it is Section 12 where they give you an Exam-style question. This question is taken from "Subject 103, September 2004, Question 9" and it talks about how vehicles need to be assessed every year for road-worthiness. Let me know if you still can't find it. cheers.
