Hi there,

I'm a bit confused about how we calculate the skewness of the aggregate claims in this one.
The skewness of S is skew[25000x] = 25000^3 Skew[x] Could someone please explain the working to get the skewness of the binomial. (the x)

I think we don't need to derive the formula for skewness here. The formula of Coefficient of skewness is given on page6 of actuarial tables, we can use it ( read the note given below the solution).

Btw skewness of binomial dist. is npq(q-p) and so coe. of skewness is :
=npq(q-p)/(npq)^3/2
=(q-p)/(npq)½
