   Hi guys, I was just wondering how we got the value of +-2 for the max. value over the range.

   The maximum occurs at the end points x = ±2 but the maximum value is when we substitute these values of x intot the equation.
   
   If the turning points don't give the maximum value then we always choose the end point(s) of the range.
