In this question we are asked to briefly describe how a credit risk model may be used to assess capital requirements.

Then in the solutions we are given a summary of different credit risk models. And that is it?? There is no explanation about how to use the model to assess capital requirements?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this question and solution. I feel like a better question for this answer would be: "Briefly describe credit risk models."
