Payback Periods

Why is it that sometimes payback periods and discounted payback periods are rounded to the nearest year / half year but then sometimes they are given to 4 dp in the solutions?

the DPP has to coincide with an income payment. If you receive income annually then you will round to the next whole year (not the nearest). The less rounded answers probably have income received continuously.
