Past papers

I received an email stating
CA2 examiners report
As part of our commitment to support students with their study for the actuarial exams, we have recently released a past CA2 exam paper, along with solutions and, for the first time an accompanying examiners report. Further details can be found here

Now the link directs to http://www.actuaries.org.uk/students/pages/ca2, and it states
You can work through some past papers. The solutions demonstrate the standard required for a good pass, though they are not perfect and other approaches are acceptable. As new past papers are added for practice we will be providing a corresponding examoners' report.

However in the past papers section (http://www.actuaries.org.uk/students/pages/past-exam-papers) there is nothing for CA2.

Has anyone found any past papers (not the sample projects)?

At the bottom of the page of the first link are the past papers, ie L3, L6, and SB01 (with examiners report).
These were used in the past but are now "retired".

They used to have easy sample projects (L1 and L2) but apparently have now been removed (they were not up to standard and a waste of time anyway, I thought)

I wouldn't hold your breath for any more past papers as they have a limited set which are recycled.
