pretty poor compared to other SA subjects? particulalry Life...it seems to be around 50%...SA4 < 20%

any obvious reasons for this? harder subject? profession trying to limit the number of pensions actuaries? poorer students....whats going on!

I thought it's more like 40% from the Institute - 77/197 last sitting.

I'm actually quite keen to know around how many marks we need in order to pass... 50? 60? Some other thread suggests 40... which I think sounds a little too low.

maybe I should be voting for the merger then...5 out of 25 in the faculty = 20% sep 07

yeh 40 does seem a bit low, perhaps students find it difficult to hit the points they're looking for in some Q's e.g. sep 07 they asked for four specific risks for closed DB...i wouldnt have come up with 'basis risk' as one of the top four given longevity and investment had already been covered
