    Hi all,

I know this is a frequently discussed topic when it comes to actuarial exams, but haven't found much in old posts for ST4 pass mark...any idea what region this tends to fall in? I've been told anything from 30% to 60%...which makes judging the level of preparation required pretty tricky!

It shouldn't affect your prep at all. Each exam will have a different pass mark so I can believe the range suggested.

What you need is to be at the better end of your current (not historic) competitors.

If you want an indication of spread, why not look at the graphs of marks given for ActEd assignments? OK its not exactly the same as it covers different conditions etc but it will give you clues as to which qns/topics struggle with. If you can master these generally weaker areas without creating your own unique ones, it should give you the edge.

So stop worrying about marks and concentrate on getting as many as possible including the 'obvious' ones.
