I am a student member of IAI. I am going to appear for my first set of exams in Nov 2013. I am planning to write 2 out of the 3 subjects - CT1, CT2 & CT3. Which two should I choose so that my chances of clearing the exams in the first attempt would be very high?

You should definitely give CT 1. CT 1 is financial mathematics and the paper set by IAI isn't extremely difficult. The CT 3 paper on the other hand tends to seem a little tricky. No idea about CT 2 but I believe it has more of a theoretical component involved.

CT2 is more bookwork - so requires more memorisation.

But to be honest the best way to ensure your chances of clearing are high is to put in the hours of study - especially ensuring that you do at least 10 past papers.

A good tip is to do exam questions in topics.
