    Hi,

in the pass papers, some of the questions, each point score one mark whereas some of question one point scores 1/2 mark. in the safest condition , may always worth to write more points , but I am wondering is there anyway can differentiate question with generous marks and which question is not ?

    thank you

No definitive rule I'm afraid. In the distant past, when the pass mark was lower, there were plenty of halves and not many 1s. These days, with the higher pass mark, there are more 1s. The more difficult questions are more likely to be 1s, whereas the easier questions are more likely to be halves. But it also depends on how other candidates perform, so you will sometimes find the same question gets halves one year but 1s in another year. My advice is err on the safe side and assume halves, but don't fret too much if you can't think of too many ideas. In any event, stick to the time allocation (max) for the number of marks.
